2020 Recruitment are working with our renowned engineering client to recruit a Technical Document Controller to join their team based in Glenrothes.

This is a permanent opportunity within a well-established engineering business, offering the chance to play a key role in supporting project delivery and ensuring all technical documentation is accurately compiled and maintained.

The Role

As the Technical Document Controller, you will be responsible for compiling and managing all documentation packages, including Manufacturing Record Books, at the completion of each order. You will work closely with engineering, production and quality teams to ensure all documentation is accurate, complete and delivered to the required standards.

This role would suit someone who is organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a structured engineering environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

As the Technical Document Controller your duties will include:

  • Compiling and preparing full document packages including Manufacturing Record Books
  • Ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete and compliant with client requirements
  • Liaising with internal departments to gather and verify technical information
  • Maintaining document control systems and ensuring records are up to date
  • Supporting project teams with documentation throughout the lifecycle of orders
  • Ensuring all documentation is issued in line with project timelines
  • Identifying and improving document control processes where possible

Requirements

To be considered for this position you should have:

  • Previous experience in a document control or administrative role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Good communication skills and ability to work across departments
  • Confidence working with Microsoft Office and document management systems

Package

As the Technical Document Controller you will be offered:

  • Salary of £30,000
  • 39 hours per week, with flexibility available if required
  • Working hours of Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00 and Friday 08:00 to 13:00
  • 35 days holiday
