The Role
As CAD Office Manager, you will oversee the design and drawing function, ensuring projects are developed accurately from concept through to manufacture and installation.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the CAD/drawing office team
• Oversee the production of detailed manufacturing and fabrication drawings
• Interpret architects’ and designers’ drawings into practical joinery solutions
• Ensure designs are technically accurate, buildable, and aligned with project specifications
• Work closely with workshop teams to ensure seamless transition from design to production
• Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and site teams to support delivery
• Implement and maintain drawing standards, processes, and quality control
• Mentor and support junior CAD technicians
About You
• Proven experience in a senior CAD role within joinery, cabinetry or bespoke interiors
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials used in high-end joinery
• Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks (or similar)
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a drawing office
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across departments
